Hi there,
Where are your drytops manufactured? I’m looking for an all north american manufactured dry top. Do you have it sewn elsewhere and then do the final touches here?

Hey Brian,
We make most of our production garments off-shore, but we make a good deal of custom-made garments here in our factory in Confluence.

Any chance you will make the women’s union suit in other colors besides pink or turqoise?
thanks!
4 admin // Dec 9, 2008 at 8:48 am
Hi Paula,
Yes, we will. We realize that those colors are not the best ones for full union suits, but unfortunately, we are waiting for our 2009 fleece colors to finish production, and right now pink and turquoise are all we have to meet demand. You will see the black and navy womens union suits come out sometime in late winter.
Thanks for the note,
-John

Is it possible to get any of the items posted to the uk? If so – as time isn’t an issue and therefore by boat is fine – what sort of delivery charge could be expected for a pair of the womens fleece lined shorts and the womens neo lined shorts. Lastly, I presume that the sizes are American and not English sizes?
Many thanks. =)

Thanks for the comment! That shipment will be about 3 pounds, give or take, and shipping 3 pounds to the UK will cost approximately $25 using the least expensive US Postal Service method that still generates a tracking number. The sizes are American sizes
Thanks again
Roger

Do you plan to make paddleing jackets for kids?
Like the Zephyr…
Thanks, Matt

Hey Matt,
funny you should ask. That is actually next on my list to design. Unfortunately, they won’t be ready until next year. The only thing I would have is a women’s small zephyr, which would be very, very similar to a kid’s jacket. I can send you a pick of one one of those if you like (they aren’t up on our site yet). we will be getting those in stock in the next month or so. Let me know if yu are interested,
-John

Two questions: 1) are the kayak surf pants nylon? 2) are the rash guards tailored so there is no underarm seam? Thanks
11 admin // May 6, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Hey Rusty,
Two answers- 1) The Khaki surf pants are nylon. They would be good in an environment where they would be getting splashed- like canoeing on easy water or hiking, but they are not meant to be a replacement for paddling pants. 2) There are no seams on the underarm of the IR rash guards- the thin and thick skins. There are seams under the arms of the basic IRS rash guard.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
-John

I bought one of your drytops on clearance yesterday that has a little dry-rot on the neck seal. Will it void the warranty if I replace it myself, or do I need to go through you guys?
13 admin // Jun 1, 2009 at 9:23 am
You can replace it yourself, if you like.

Do you have any pink union suits left?
15 admin // Jun 15, 2009 at 10:39 am
Hi,
we’re cutting Women’s union suits right now- i can throw in a layer of pink and make you one if you like. The only issue is that although we’re cutting them right now, they won’t be finished and ready to ship for a month. If you are interested, please let me know right away what size you would like.

hello
ive been checking out your clearence selection and am looking for a little advice….i need a new skirt for my LL vision 44 cockpit size 18.75 x 33.25 and have a size 31 waist…….what do you suggest

What DWR stands for?
18 admin // Jun 22, 2009 at 11:22 am
That’s a “Durable Water Repellant Finish”. It’s the spray-on coating that all waterproof-breathable fabric manufacturers use to make the water bead off the fabric- at least while the garment is new. This does not have any bearing on whether or not the fabric is water proof, it just keeps the outer shell fabric from getting soaked. all of these DWR finishes come off after time and need to be retreated.
Hope this answers your question,
-John

From the closeouts, the Large cockpit, medium waist Toughskin should work, or the Last remaining super bungee. The super bungee deckplate is great for loops- I used the exact skirt on that exact boat with good success. If you don’t need an overthruster, get the toughskin.

Hello,
I wonder if the Comp XL okre/amber cag of your closeouts is still for sale.
If so, can you ship it to me in France by UPS or the sort ?
All the best
Mathilde

Hi Mathilde,
Al we have left is the women’s XL is the blue/mercury. We can ship those to France- shipping will be calculated at the time of purchase. I think it will be somewhere around $20.

Hi John,
I recently purchased a couple closeout items- the Mango Comp Jacket and the sample Lucky Charm large skirt (I really like the sample look on the LC!). The large skirt size appeared to fit the boats I paddle but after looking closer at the skirt fit chart on the web site here, I’m second guessing myself. One boat is just outside the L (max.) but actually under the XL (min.) on the chart. In any case, if I needed to get an XL, can you make an XL out of the LC sample XXL you have left ? If not, do you have any LC sample material left that you could use to build a XL skirt for me?
Thanks!,
Rick

Hey Rick,
Sorry for the late reply- I wanted to finish a video I was working on yesterday that I though might answer some of your questions- here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T1eAT1pK4Y
But on top of that, what kind of boat(s) do you paddle? We can’t change those skirts around once they are made, and it really wouldn’t be worth custom-making you a rand skirt- it would cost far more than just buying one at full retail.
However- this might be irrelevant- let me know the boats you paddle, and we’ll go from there.
